MUMBAI: She might not have won Bigg Boss 13, but Shehnaaz Gill was one of the most popular contestants of the reality show’s previous season. Over the last year, she has featured in many music singles.

 She reveals having bigger plans for 2021 but is not in a hurry. Shehnaaz shared, “I am quite patient and selective when it comes to working. I have a few projects, including a film, the details of which cannot be divulged yet. I have always chosen quality over quantity. Chaahe kam kaam karu, par achha karu. My dream is to play a quintessential heroine. I can act any part, but I want to try difficult characters. That apart, I plan to focus on my career as a singer. I want to lend my voice to singles and also be a playback singer. Mai Shehnaaz Gill ke naam ko bada karna chahati hoon bada soch kar.”.

Shehnaaz has also been in the news recently for her weight loss. Talking about what motivated her, she says, “I just want to make the most of the opportunity that God has blessed me with. Meri thinking positive hoti gayi aur mujhe achhe log miley journey mein. Along with honing my talent, I always try to improve myself and rectify my mistakes — that’s very important for moving ahead in life. I decided to lose weight when I started receiving appreciation from people, I wanted to show them a different me. Sab mujhe moti keh rahe the, so I wanted to surprise them.”.

Along with fitness, she is also fine-tuning her language skills and diction. Shehnaaz elaborates, “I want to get rid of my Punjabi accent while talking in Hindi. I am also working on my English. In fact, I try to talk in English with people, chaahey woh hass bhi de mujh par... Slowly, I have started understanding the meaning of various words. Every time I see a new word, I look up the internet for it's meaning and correct pronunciation and also play word games.”.
