MUMBAI: In one of the shocking turn of events in Television industry, Actor Paras Kalnawat who is currently essaying the character of Samar Shah in television's highest TRP rated show 'Anupamaa' has tested positive for Coronavirus. The actor was keeping unwell and this morning his test result came out positive after which the shoot was brought to a halt. Currently, tests are being performed of the remaining cast and crew members on the set.

Paras Kalnawat has tested positive and now for precautionary reasons tests are being performed on the rest of the crew.

Earlier,  actors Sachin Tyagi, Swati Chitnis and Samir Onkar from Rajan Shahi's yet another popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai had contracted Coronavirus. However, with rest and proper medication, they were soon back in the action. 

Meanwhile, many other actors in the television industry such as Parth Samthaan, Shrenu Parikh, Rajeshwari Sachdev, Himani Shivpuri, Rajesh Kumar, Sara Khan, Mohena Kumari, Kiran Kumar, Additi Gupta, Mohit Malik and others tested positive for COVID-19 and recovered.
