With such a huge cast, even I was initially insecure about my screen time in Nandini - Surendra Pal

Surendra Pal
The actor Surendra Pal who has been around for years having done remarkable roles in shows like Mahabharat (BR Chopra), Shaktiman, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev and Diya Aur Baati Hum is back on TV as the negative Inderraj Raghuvanshi in Sony Entertainment Television’s Desh Ki Beti…Nandini (Rashmi Sharma Productions). Talking about his character Surendra avers, “I have not done such a negative character in my entire 17 year career. And needless to say I am enjoying playing this different character a lot. Having played father-like shades, it’s a great change and TV today is giving platform to actors like never before.” “My character of this very strong politician is shaping really well. Inderraj is an ambitious man who will not stop at destroying his own family to become the leader. And even when we are not trying to depict any one, this is the reality of our country’s political families. There are no moral values and no distinction for right and wrongs, all they want is power, and Inderraj is the living example of all of these,” he further shares. The actor who is also currently seen in Kabir playing the lead role in Zee Jagran’s show says that with such a huge star cast (in Nandini) he was insecure how his character will shape up and whether he will get enough screen time. “But thankfully the production house understands the value of all their actors and gives them equal importance. I had heard that this production house was very strict and arrogant, but I was happy to find there was nothing of that sorts here. I am really having a great time with them.” “Also the entire team is very helpful and friendly. Sujata Sehgal, Rafi Malik, Muni Jha, Aadesh Srivastav and Deepti-all of us really bond well. The show is also giving a very unique plot to the viewers who are slowly grasping it. And I am sure that soon they will be hooked to this show,” he concludes with a smile. We wish Surendra and the show great success.
