Kolkata’s well known TV actor and anchor Ronnie Chakraborty was found dead in a pond near his house last night.

As per police information the actor’s body was recovered from the waterbody in the southern part of the city, Santoshpur (Kolkata).

The family has been reported to share that Ronnie returned home by 1 am and went out to have bath at the nearby pond with his two friends, but did not return. His friends fished out his limp body and rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.

The police was quoted in the media stating that the body has been sent for a post-mortem and an investigation has been launched on the same.

This incident has left the Tollywood industry in a shocked state. The actor has been part of many mega serials over the years.

Ronnie is survived by his wife and six month old daughter.
