Unlike Funty, my parents are in no hurry for my wedding: Shivani Badoni

MUMBAI: SAB TV is soon going to launch its new offering Baavle Utaavle produced under Director’s Kut Productions.

The story of the show revolves around a young couple desperately waiting to get married. The promos of the show have turned many heads. It is a one-of-a-kind concept for both the channel and production, as they have mostly been into family dramas.

The show will feature Paras Arora, Veena Mehta, Vaibhav Singh, and Meena Mir along with newbie Shivani Badoni, who will play the female lead in the show named Funty. Shivani hails from Dehradun.

We got in touch with her to know her experience on the show, and a very excited Shivani said, ‘I am super excited to be part of the show. Initially, it was feeling surreal, but now that the promos are out, I realized it’s actually happening and my dream is actually coming true. My entire family is super excited for the launch of the show.’

Shivani now stays in Mumbai. When we asked her about the same, she said, ‘I always wanted to live in Mumbai. I am really loving it here. All my co-stars and crew members are very co-operating and are helping me out on everything.’

Shivani added, ‘The ambience on the sets is totally homely, and because the show is a comedy, we end up laughing the entire day between shots. It’s too much fun to be on Baavle Utaavle sets.’

We asked her about her criteria for a perfect partner, to which she said, ‘There is not a very big list. He needs to be trustworthy; that is one important factor.’

Ask here if her parents also push her to get married like Funty’s parents do, she replied in the negative and said, ‘Not at all. There’s no pressure to get married. Instead, my father would love for me to be with him for the maximum time rather than getting married and leaving the house.’

Here’s wishing Shivani all the best for her debut show.
