Writer Mumukshu Mudgal
Talanted writer Mumukshu Mudgal passed away this morning (9 January 2014) at his Mumbai residence at the age of 47. Mumukshu was an industry veteran renowned for his comic writings. He has worked in many television shows and gained fame via Chote Miyan series airing on Colors. He was also the story writer of the movie Gali Gali Chor Hain. His last work on television front was writing script for Big Star Entertainment Awards. Speaking to us, Mumukshu’s close kin and student Vaibhav Chauhan said, “It was shocking. He had no ailment at all. He returned home from the gym at 9.30 am today morning and sat down to relax. Within moments he collapsed and passed away. We were all shocked. The autopsy is currently on and we think it was a heart attack, but can only confirm later. The funeral should happen by tomorrow.” Mumukshu hailed from Delhi and has also spent many years in Bhopal before coming to Mumbai. He is survived by his wife. Our heartfelt condolences to Mumukshu’s family!!!
