Bigg Boss season 5 has been an eventful one but sadly it did not manage to gain great numbers when compared to its previous seasons. So in a final resort to surge up on the TRP ladder, the makers (Endemol) brought in cute, cuddly and powerful sumo wrestler Yama. Media wrote a lot about his guest entry and at the press conference where Yama interacted with the media, scribes could not stop talking about him being so “cute” and “chubby”. Now, our first part of the headline says “Yama stayed.” Why did we mention that? Because his stay was too short, just a day. But in a single day he made his presence felt. Many had this perception that when you are huge on the outside, your inside (read: brain) is kind of miniscule. But not with Yama. In the house, he did not sloth around all day but danced, laughed, and even picked-up Hindi songs and sang them beautifully. Fans loved it when he sang Aati Kya Khandala. And everyone wanted to see him longer in the house. Bud sadly, he got out too early. Furthermore, he kept on saying two things the most. “Khate the, sote the.” Yes, this brings us to our second part of the headline “Yama ate.” Yama ate a lot and his food was served in buckets. Siddharth’s comment on seeing Yama eat says it all, “Yeh ekbar mein jitna chawal kha raha hain, mera pura parivaar do din mein khata hain.” Funny! And who can forget the banana eating competition. Finally, our last part of the headline “Yama conquered.” Yes, he did conquer hearts of millions of fans all across the globe. He stayed only for a day but that was enough for him to leave an impression forever. Fans of Bigg Boss will never forget Yama. And he loves Kolaveri Di as well. Bingo! The way people liked him in the show, Colors might be wondering why they did not extend his stay. Well, this season has been a mishit in terms of programming strategies. They better buck up the next time. Anyhow, Yama rocks and we hope that soon he will be seen in some other show on Indian television.
