MUMBAI: It seems like it is ‘raining leaps’ on Star Plus. Just earlier in the day, TellyChakkar had reported about a leap in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Now we’ve heard that there is another show on the GEC to undergo a leap.
The popular TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is set to witness a time leap in the storyline.
TellyChakkar had earlier reported about Shubham’s (Gaurav Wadhwa) untimely death in the show. When Naira (Shivangi Joshi) confronts Shubham about his drug addiction, he gets hyper. In annoyance, he overdoses drug, as a result of which he succumbs to death. Naira gets blamed for Shubham’s death by the Goenka family. Apparently, all of this happens during Kartik’s (Mohsin Khan) birthday party.

However, we have learnt that the show is set for a leap. The makers are planning to introduce a five year time jump.

If sources are to be believed, the Goenka family will shun Naira. They will blame her for the death of Shubham. Since Naira hid it from everyone, the family and Kartik would be annoyed with Naira. Consequently, she will be thrown out of the house.
So, is this the end of Naira and Kartik? Or will a new drama start post the leap?
