You cannot succeed in life by making your parents unhappy: Kashmira 'Manmarziyan' Irani

Kashmira Irani

Kashmira Irani's life comes a full circle in her second innings on the small screen after a seven-year hiatus.

Wondering what we are talking about?

The girl, who rose to fame as one of the conjoined twins on Swastik’s Amber Dhara, will now be seen in the same production house’s (Swastik Productions) Manmarziyan on Star Plus.

The show was launched last night and has Kashmira playing an independent and smart girl, Samaira.

“First of all, I took up this role because of the production house. Secondly, the character has been sketched out wonderfully. She is a complete city girl but has her values intact. Sam is a very challenging and layered role as she is upfront, honest and lives for the moment. The story is a beautiful depiction of two different lives with one aspiration- to get something worthwhile from life ,” said the actress.

Kashmira too beliefs that parents' consent on decisions in life is an important thing. “I don't think you can succeed in life if you make your parents unhappy. They are the driving force in your life, never never hurt them. This emotional journey will be portrayed in Manmarziyan, which I am sure viewers would enjoy," added the pretty girl.

The focus of the show is on portraying strong, independent women and women empowerment. Talking about that theme, Kashmira said, “I think women should be strong and respect themselves first before expecting respect from others. It’s high time we stopped being mum and voiced our opinions. Only we can help better our positions in the society and it's time we achieve it.”

Finally, when we quizzed her about her interesting sartorial choices on the show, she was all smiles, “Oh! all thanks to the designer Prajakta. She has worked really well on the detailing. Since Sam is an ad agency employee, we wanted to give her a creative and fashionable avatar that's perky, yet laid back. I too gave some inputs to the stylist and I am glad that people are liking it.”

Wish you luck, Kashmira.
