And over the years, the channel has churned out some of the finest shows that ever reached the bedrooms of TV buffs. Here’s presenting the rundown of Zee’s finest conceptual presentations over the years. Read on… Antakshari- Who can forget energetic and ever vivacious Annu Kapoor dancing on the floors and bringing the screen alive with his superb anchoring skills in Antakshari? The baap of all singing reality shows, Zee TV’s Antakshari triggered an avalanche of other similar formats on different channels….but none could create the magic like it. Aap Ki Adaalat- Aap Ki Adaalat hosted by journalist Rajat Sharma went on to gain a cult status. Rajat’s suave and poignant demeanor, different and interesting list of guests and the pseudo court session format, all clicked with the masses. Amanat- The series was one of the most popular Hindi television program of its time and received the highest TRPs of 19 among many other 2000s Hindi language shows. The story focused on the life of a man, Lahori Ram, and his seven beautiful and dutiful daughters. This was one of the most successful TV serials of its time and went on to inspire many other serials on the saas-bahu genre. The plot and the screenplay was truly a tear-jerking one. Astitva-Ek Prem Kahani- The show that ran on the channel for over four years showed the life of Dr Simran (Niki Walia) who embodied patience, consistency and suppression in a subtle way. It went on to win many awards for its path-breaking and mature concept. Hum Paanch- An absolute laugh riot…Hum Paanch re-defined the genre of sitcoms. Ashok Saraf was wonderful as Anand Mathur and the histrionics of his daughters were rib-tickling to the core. This is one show which we are sure everyone misses till date. Zee Horror Show- Remember the tune… “Na na..na na na na na na nana…” that used to play at the beginning of the show. Well…listen to it even today and a shiver will run down the spine for sure. Zee Horrow Show is synonymous with fear on Indian television. Filmy Chakkar and Philips Top Ten- Those were the days when music channels and Radio did not mushroom out. Yes, both these countdown shows were watched vividly all across the globe for its nice and “rhythmic” content. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa- There is nothing much to write or say about Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. This singing reality show has given the country some of the finest singing talent. Its seasons are still running and the popularity is still high amongst the masses. Saat Phere- Coming to the recent times, the Sharad Kelkar-Rajshri Thakur Jodi went on to become a rage for its superb and striking chemistry. Till date fans send mails and messages to get the show back on air. We hope that makers listen to their plea soon. Pavitra Rishta- The show has now become one of the longest running ones in recent times. The chemistry of Manav and Archana has cast a spell amongst television lovers. The soap is still going strong and we wish that it continues to impress one and all for years to come. Dance India Dance- Dance India Dance can be said to be the most popular of dance reality shows in recent times. It has done wonderfully at the TRP front as well. It has infused confidence amongst those who want to make a career out of dancing. This was our list. If you think we have missed any show which you think should have deserved a mention here…do go to the comment section and share about it.
