Ragini Khanna was born on December 9, 1984 in Mumbai to Praveen Khanna and Kamini Khanna. She has an elder brother named Amit Khanna, who is also an actor. She is niece of super star Govinda. She did her schooling from R. N. Shah High School and has a Masters degree in Commerce at the University of Mumbai. She has also learned singing from Prakash Prasad, son of Jagannath Prasad. She wanted to become a singer but she eventually became an actress. Her first assignment was a short print ad which was shot in Panvel. After which, she worked in about 25 advertisements, including popular campaigns like Amul Cool Cafe and Godrej. She will be seen in the Punjabi film 'Bhaji in Problem'.
