STAR One was an Indian television youth channel that primarily broadcast Hindi entertainment based in Mumbai. Launched on 1 November 2004 with its show, Remix , which became immensely popular, the channel gained in popularity with television shows such as The Great Indian Laughter Challenge , Nach Baliye , Zara Nachke Dikha , Sarabhai vs Sarabhai , Instant Khichdi , Special Squad , Ssshhhh...Phir Koi Hai , Remix , Dill Mill Gayye , Miley Jab Hum Tum , Love Ne Mila Di Jodi , Rang Badalti Odhani , Geet Hui Sabse Parayi and Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani . Part of News Corporation's STAR TV network in Asia and distributed to worldwide by Fox International Channels, STAR One was one of India's most popular general entertainment channels, which, in addition to sister network STAR Plus, also include Sony Entertainment Television, Colors, Zee TV, Imagine TV, SAB, and Sahara One.

STAR One ceased its operation on 18 December 2011, ending its last two shows, Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and Geet Hui Sabse Parayi. This channel it then was be rebranded to Life OK, launched by STAR Network on 18 December 2011. There were talks of carrying on the two popular shows on the replacement channel, but these did not pan out.

STAR One continued to air in the UK and Ireland until 28 May 2012, when it was rebranded as Star Life OK
