MUMBAI :  Bloody Daddy, which has Shahid Kapoor in the leading role has been grabbing attention of the fans ever since the teaser was out. The trailer of the movie was getting a big thumbs up from the fans. The movie, which also has Sanjay Kapoor, Diana Penty, Ronit Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Ankur Bhatia and Vivan Bhatena is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. 

Today, the movie has finally hit the platform Jio Cinemas. Talking about the premise of the movie, it deals with the central character Sumair, played by Shahid Kapoor, who is a narcotics officer. The way his life changes after bursting a drug racket and the sort of difficulties he has to go through to get his son back from the goons is superbly shown in the movie. 

The screenplay is very strong and it definitely does not allow your interest level to go down. On the other hand, the action design is good and direction by Ali Abbas Zafar is amazing as well. 

If we speak about the performance of Shahid Kapoor, he has given one of his best performances. Indeed, we are going to watch him in an out and out action thriller for the first time. We see a very unique side of the actor, which has never been witnessed before. He is one of the major reasons to watch the movie. On the other hand, Ronit Roy as Sikandar will definitely grab your attention, but unfortunately, Sanjay Kapoor had very less to offer. Also, the one liners coming from actor Rajiv Khandelwal definitely make you laugh and steals the show whenever he is on-screen. Actress Diana Penty is underused and had very less to offer as well.

Talking about the positive points, it has to be the stylish action which is designed beautifully. The action is the soul and the USP of the movie. Indeed, we witness actor Shahid Kapoor in a never-seen-before avatar and it was a treat to watch him on-screen. There are many moments of situational comedy which will definitely make you laugh, specially the one liners coming from Rajiv Khandelwal. Also, the strong BGM, specially during fight sequences definitely grabs your attention and enhances your movie-viewing experience. The action is indeed raw and gripping, keeping the viewers at the edge of their seats. 

Well, having said all that, the movie also has a few negative points, as a few scenes look little stretched and makes the story slow down. But, the comedy punches and strong performances does not allow your interest to go down. The climax of the movie is a little abrupt. A good conclusion could have been satisfying. 

Well, having said all that, Bloody Daddy is definitely a treat for all action lovers and Shahid Kapoor fans.
