MUMBAI: ZEE5, India's largest home-grown video streaming platform, delivered another success with their latest original, ‘Sunflower S2’. Directed by Navin Gujral and produced by Reliance Entertainment and Cinergy in association with A Good Co. Production, the 8-episodic series premiered on ZEE5 on 01st March and garnered great reviews from fans across the globe. Audiences have not only loved the performances but also the production value, direction and the music, which enhances and supports the narrative so brilliantly.

Renowned for his flawless comedic timing and engaging stage presence, Sunil Grover has now stepped into the realm of music with Sunflower S2 called ‘Waada Mummy Ka’. Composed by Rohit Kulkarni and sung by Sunil Grover along with Shruti Pathak which adds a layer of quirk and fun to the series to Sonu’s character played by Sunil. 

Sunil Grover said, “I am not a singer, but Vikas sir wanted me to sing this one. We had tried with a good professional singer, but somehow it felt that Sonu should sing the song no matter how bad he is. I think it’s more than singing, it’s Sonu’s expression and his perspective of that song. I love singing, if you call it singing. The female version of the song is very good. I know I’m bad, but if I’m given an opportunity to sing, I will definitely sing.”

Sunil Grover’s singing not only demonstrates his versatility but keeps the audience guessing what other surprises he might have in store. His talent of entertaining the audience with comedy combined with music offers joy and laughter to everyone throughout the song. 

Sunflower is a dark comedy thriller series that revolves around the residents of the titular housing society called Sunflower. Sunflower season 2 promises to carry on the mystery and craziness as it explores the lives of the quirky people that live in society in more detail.
