MUMBAI: Esha Gupta entered the Femina Miss India contest in 2007 won the Miss India International title. She soon received offers for film roles, and made her acting debut in the 2012 crime thriller Jannat 2, that fetched her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She received praise for her portrayal in the political drama Chakravyuh (2012), but her performance in the comedy film Humshakals (2014) met with negative reviews. Her highest-grossing releases came with the Raaz 3D, Rustom, Total Dhamaal.

Now, the actress is back to reprise the character of a cop in ZEE5’s Rejctx Season 2.

Team TellyChakkar got a chance to speak to her about her digital debut and her character.

She said that she will be essaying the role of Officer Rene, who is fearless and always fights for the right things. She never gives up.

Esha said that she has seen season 1 and loved it so much that when season 2 happened to her, there was no option of saying no to this wonderful project. She knew the director and the creator of the show Goldie Behl very well.

She added that season 2 is darker, and the storyline digs deeper into the lives of the students and is more gripping.

The actress also said that she always wanted to do a web series, because content is explored in more detail on the digital platform.

The trailer of the series is out and is getting a lot of love and appreciation from all over. The audience is eagerly waiting for Rejctx 2.
