MUMBAI: Actor Khushboo Kamal, is best known for her role in producers Sanjay Kohli and Binaiferr Kohli’s shows Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai, Jijaji Chhat Par Hai and film Ankur Arora Murder Case. She is also known for being an important part in the show Barrister Babu.

With a career of 10+ years in the industry, Khushboo has really made a mark, giving her best in every performance.

Khusboo is going to be a pivotal part of a new OTT project on Amazon Mini, ‘Constable Girpade

Talking about the cop-comedy drama, 'Constable Girpade', created by Saad Khan it stars Khushaal Pawar, Neel Salkar, Muskan Bamne, Sanket Bhosale and Chandni in pivotal roles. Recently, the makers released the trailer of the series.

Khushaal Pawar plays the role of Constable Girpade while Gaurav Gera plays the role of Phenyl Mohan. Constable Girpade explores the various shades of Mumbai with intriguing crime cases with a shocking conclusion in the end, leaving viewers in splits.

Tellychakkar got in touch with Khushboo Kamal where she revealed some interesting things about the series and her character in it. Check it out:

How will you define your character in the series?

It’s a comedy series with 10 episodes having a different story and problem in each and every episode which constable Girpade has to solve. I play the role of Asha Lata, the secretary of the society. Now the secretary does not like 3 young kids who live in the society and in order to maintain a proper environment in the society, I plot and plan to take them out of the society. I get caught in the end by Constable Girpade.

What made you say yes for the series?

Firstly it is a comedy series. In the past, I have done television shows like F.I.R., Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai, Jijaji Chhat Par Hai and others. So I explored the comedy genre and I liked it. I like its light heartedness. It’s not like daily soap where you are getting to see the same characters performing the same way everyday. In F.I.R. I was playing different characters and playing different characters makes me confident as an actor. In Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai I played 2 characters, Pammi Leaone and Gulfam Kali’s sister. So after all that, I saw that this series is a comedy genre, in fact, it is a serious-comedy in a way. I mean, as a character, Asha Lata is a serious one but even then she is doing comedy. As a character, Asha Lata listens to everything and everyone but does what she wants to do. So that balance of serious and comedy is what I saw and felt like let’s do it. I really enjoyed playing Asha Lata.

What can be the USP of the series?

According to me, it’s the story of the series. Each and every story has a different flavour. The uniqueness is about the kind of humour it has and the situations that come which will surely make you laugh.
