MUMBAI: Indeed one of the most loved and followed stars of Indian cinema is Raveena Tandon. It is always a treat to watch the actress on screen and now, she is all set to be seen in the upcoming OTT series titled Karmma Calling, which will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar.

Earlier, we got to watch the teaser of the series and the audience felt intrigued by it as everyone started wondering how the series will turn out to be.

Later, the creators of the series released the trailer wherein we can feel the intensity rising. The trailer shows how the series is based on revenge and Karma, as in the consequences of actions.

Devangshi Sen has made her debut with Karrma Calling and we got into an exclusive conversation with the actress where we talked about her character in the show, her experience with Raveena Tandon and Namrata Sheth and much more.

About her character

On this, Devangshi Sen said that her character is of Meera, the youngest member of the Kothari family who is fun, bubbly, and energetic. Describing her character further, she said that she is a little extra loud and energetic sometimes, trying to get the attention of her family because her dad is always traveling and has a very strange relationship with her mother, even her brother has left for college.

Why choose Karmma Calling as a debut project?

On this, Devangshi Sen said that she watched the entire 1st season of the American version and felt so captivated that she could not stop watching as according to her it was a ‘pacey’ show. Devangshi thought that she would love to be a part of something like that. According to her, the concept of the show was very intriguing.

Experience with Raveena Tandon and Namrata Sheth

On this, Devangshi Sen talked about Namrata Sheth and said that she met her during the readings and according to Devangshi, Namrata was Karmma as her presence was mysterious, didn’t get to know her well for a really long time, always in her zone and isolated as she had to maintain that distance because of the layers of character she was playing and couldn’t mess around with the cast. Talking further about Namrata, Devangshi mentions the first time she really got to know her as a person during the outing to Alibaug where they bonded over their love for Taylor Swift. She also revealed that both of them will be going together for an upcoming concert of Taylor Swift in Singapore as they spent 8 hours sitting together trying to get the tickets for the show.

Talking about Raveena Tandon, Devangshi said that there was an aura about her and she was glowing. Devangshi was so struck by it that a chirpy and loud personality girl that she is, was just sitting quietly for 15 minutes. She mentioned how Raveena was a relaxed, funny, and helpful person. Remembering an incident, Devangshi said that she had difficulty adjusting to technicalities like hitting the mark on camera and so when she had difficulty hitting a spot in wobbly heels, lean a certain way, Raveena Tandon saw it and since she knew it was difficult for Devangshi, she found a stick on the grass and moved it for Devangshi. This shocked Devangshi.

Praising the actress more, Devangshi said that Raveena was never once out of energy and in fact gave more energy to them.
