MUMBAI: Duranga starring Gulshan Devaiah and Drashti Dhami was released in August 2022. The show received a great response and Gulshan’s performance in it was appreciated a lot. The series ended on a cliff hanger and now, everyone has been eagerly waiting for season 2 of Duranga.

Duranga was directed by Pradeep Sarkar and Aijaz Khan. It was a remake of the South Korean show Flower of Evil. Duranga was the first series which was an official remake of a South Korean show. While in season 1 Amit Sadh played a small role, now in season 2 it is expected that the actor will have a bigger role. It will surely be interesting to see Amit, Gulshan, and Drashti in the series. Duranga had received positive reviews from the critics and even audiences’ loved it. So, that’s why the expectations from season 2 are quite high.

In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Drashti opened up on shooting for the series.

Drashti shared, “There was a lot of prep work that went into season 1 and season 2 was more like coming back home. Ofcourse, the character was a lot more complex and there has been more layering as there is more unspoken love between my character Ira and her husband. It was challenging but at the same time there was a lot more comfort on the sets given the fact that we have shot season 1 together. There was more chemistry between Gulshan Devaiah and me too.”

We asked if we would get to see her wear the uniform in this season or not. Drashti gave a spoiler saying that she will wear it in season 3. Speaking about the show being a South Korean remake, Drashti shared, “There are bound to be a few changes as you tailor make it to suit the audience of your country. You add more of your celebrations and give your touches to what your consumers would want.”
