MUMBAI: Tera Yaar Hoon Main fame Ankita Sahu talks about her upcoming film web series Mombian – Gul & Sakshi Ki Pyaaari Si Love Story. The actor talks about social media trolling, The actors who have inspired her, and the director with whom she wants to work in the future.
Ankita Sahu on Social media trolling
Social media gives us good as well as bad people. Sometimes you get such messages that we feel that this is the last thing I want to know. I do not take appreciation from social media either I take bad comments from it. If I accept either of them, then I won’t be able to work. If I take appreciation too seriously then I will be on cloud nine. I will be like I have so many fans and people also know me and all. In that process, I will leave learning from acting. It is better to make social media a part of your life and not fully depended on it.
Ankita Sahu on bold scenes
Whenever a character is narrated to me, I always try to see the director's vision of it. So it is important for an actor to know that is it the requirement of the film or is it showing to titillate the audience. So, if it is the demand of the story, then it should be there or else it should be cut off from the film. For me, if I feel and I get connected to the character and it’s the requirement of that scene then I am ok with it. But if the audience wants to see sex then they can watch porn, we don’t need to show them in the web series.
Ankita Sahu on actors who have inspired her
There are many actors who have inspired me. I really like the character of Rani Mukerji in the movie Black. Deepika Padukone’s character in Piku. I always wanted to do those kinds of roles. As an actor, I really wanted to explore acting. All such types of characters really inspired me.
Ankita Sahu on directors and actors with whom she wants to work?
I really wanted to work with Irrfan Khan Sir. But now that dream can never come true. Apart from him Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee, and Pankaj Tripathi I would really like to work with them. And the director with whom I am looking to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
