MUMBAI: Sahil Khattar in this exclusive interview with TellyChakkar talks about his debut film 83. The actor speaks about the response to the trailer of the film, how he got the role of Syed Kirmani, and the injuries he had while filming.

Tell us about the response you have been getting after the trailer was launched.

There cannot be a bigger trailer launched than 83. Across all mediums, it has above 100 million views. I feel great to be part of such a big film. I feel lucky that I can play the character of Syed Kirmani on screen. The response to the trailer is overwhelming. 24 December might be a life-changing date for all of us.

How did you bag the role of Syed Kirmani?

The good part was I never auditioned for the role. It was given to me after looking at my face. I look like a twin brother of Syed Kirmani. So when the film came to me, I was actually in a good state of mind where I could recognize the potential of this film.

Did you get injured while shooting for the film?

I had injured all my body parts, including my hands, legs, and back, which were all were swollen while playing the game. We were made to do 250 squats every day. I think after Beyonce, my butt should be insured. Because of the training, I have become so fit while shooting for the film.

How will you describe your journey in the Industry?

I will describe my journey in just two words: hard work, and hustle. Many people have talent, but hard work and hustle are very important. I feel glad that I am getting the chance to play such personas on screen. I want to be one of the rarest Indian talents who is relevant on all three mediums: digital, television, and films.
