MUMBAI:Purav Jha is a popular YouTuber, and his videos get some amazing response. Now, he is all set to step into acting with the OTT series Ishq Next Door.

TellYChakkar recently interacted with Purav, and spoke to him about his role in the series, his shift from YouTube to acting and more...

Tell us something about your role in Ishq Next Door.

I play a very interesting character. Everyone in the series has an ishq wala zone but my character has all the emotions. Everyone else is having their Ishq Next Door, but my character is like he is just standing at the door and knocking.

How did this shift from YouTube to acting happen?

I always wanted to do this. I genuinely just didn’t want to be on YouTube or Instagram, but that was the best way to reach the audiences. So, I performed on those platforms and people liked me, and now, I am here.

What kind of roles are you looking forward to?

I want to do something in the thriller genre, something like a psycho-villainous role. I feel I will do that better because people have only seen me in comedy till now. But, I want to show it to people that I have a potential in me to do an emotional drama or a psycho character.

Ishq Next Door will premiere on Jio Cinema on 3rd July 2023.
