MUMBAI: Yami Gautam in this exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com talks about her film A Thursday. She also speaks about the feedback she received from her husband,  her take on social media platforms, and what she has to say about the fans who look up to her as a role model. 

Tell us about the feedback you received from your husband Aditya Dhar

The kind of perspective that Aditya has as a writer and director. I have worked with him as an actor in his film Uri. So, I know how is mind function. He loves the idea of reverse tasking. He loves the idea of surprising his audience. He and I never discussed the script but he knows the entire story of A Thursday. I did discuss the film with him just to take another perspective to the story.  He always blows my mind with his brilliant ideas. The value of his perspective is very high for me not because I am his wife but has a profession. It has helped me a lot to evolve as an actor. It is important for me to enjoy the process of filmmaking as an actor.

Tell us your take on social media platforms

There is a huge population of our country who are not on any social media platforms. But social media a different world together. There are so many businesses that are relying on the power of social media. So it depends on how you utilize it, depends on what it means to you. Also depends this is where it enters your mind and this is where you have to shut it down. it can be very constructive at the point where you become the voice of change and also we can see where it brings up so many judgments and opinions that it can leave you confused. So where it is important to draw the line for you.

What do you want to say about the fans who look up to you as a role model?

Thank you if somebody is looking up to me as their role model. I have been in the industry for more than 10 years now. It is important for me that my parents should be proud of the work that I am doing in the industry. There will be many up and down in any profession you are but you should never give up. So, my message to the fans will be to evolve and grow as a human being but stay grounded.
