MUMBAI: Indeed one of the most loved and followed stars of Indian cinema is Raveena Tandon. It is always a treat to watch the actress on screen and now, she is all set to be seen in the upcoming OTT series titled Karmma Calling, which will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar.

Earlier, we got to watch the teaser of the series and the audience felt intrigued by it as everyone started wondering how the series will turn out to be.

Later, the creators of the series released the trailer wherein we can feel the intensity rising. The trailer shows how the series is based on revenge and Karma, as in the consequences of actions.

Devangshi Sen has made her debut with Karrma Calling and we got into an exclusive conversation with the actress where we talked about how she got her role, unexpected side of Raveena Tandon and much more.

How did you bag this role?

On this, Devangshi Sen said that when she moved to Mumbai in 2022 she only had a dream but had no idea what to do about it as she was really new in Mumbai and working in the industry in such a situation became even tougher, making her feel lost. Devangshi met a casting director Panchami Ghavri who was casting for Karmma Calling. Devangshi asked the casting director if she can get an internship and look at the whole audition process as she wants to learn about it and in exchange she was ready to work long hours and put in extra effort. This is how for three months Devangshi Sen got to learn so much, met so many actors, did so many scenes, and had readings with so many people. Later when she got a deadline of 1 year from her father, she decided to leave the company and go auditioning. After a week, she came to the same office to audition for Meera Kothari, after which she was shortlisted, met the director of Karmma Calling and after the meeting Devangshi thought to herself that she wasn’t going to get the part as she had a very casual meeting but to her surprise she got the part because the way she was during the meeting is exactly what the director Ruchi Narain was looking for.

Desired character?

On this, Devangshi Sen said that she wants to play a very commercial role like in a rom-com, comedic or have her own song which is one of her biggest dreams. Adding to this, Devangshi Sen said that she has been a dancer always which resulted in her love for Hindi movies, therefore one day she wants to have a hit song and dance hook steps.

What is something you discovered while working with Raveena Tandon?

On this, Devangshi Sen recalled a scene and said that in a dinner scene, it was a night schedule, and Raveena Tandon who forgot her lines, told everyone to just continue, but after her, the next person and next to next person forgot their lines meanwhile Raveena Tandon was trying hard to control her laughter. What followed next was the most hilarious thing according to Devangshi as Piyush (Actor) got up for a serious monologue and Raveena Tandon burst out laughing which then resulted in everyone laughing. Adding to this, Devangshi Sen said that Raveena Tandon has a really fun side to her and it surprised her the most.
