MUMBAI: Ashram 3 is all set to go on floors and the previous seasons have been massive hits amongst the viewers; fans couldn't wait for the new season. Chandan plays the intriguing character of Bhopa in the show; he has not only nailed it but left fans spellbound with his on-screen performance in the series.

We got in touch with Chandan to know his take on the show, character graph of Bhopa in Aashram and more. You would need a book and pen to note these precious responses. 

Now, that Bhopa and Chandan have become synonymous, what was your reaction to the love you received for both seasons? 

I think it is very encouraging for an actor. Especially, for an actor, one needs an anchor for their journey and Aashram made me believe in myself again. The responses have given me a lot of strength and hope. I really feel encouraged and revitalized. I had forgotten to be loved and this makes me feel loved again. So yes, the show is extremely special for me. 

What can we expect from Bhopa in the third season? 

In seasons one and two, the reactions were overwhelming and people knew who Bhopa is, so if I continue to do the same thing then it would have turned boring. Prakash Ji decided to add more layers to the character and this season you shall see a new side of Bhopa. This time it is quite enticing and spicy, you can't mess with Bhopa this time. 

What kind of characters are you planning to explore? 

I really want to try some amazing comedy. Something like Utpal Dutt and Amol Palekar used to do, something like what Jim Carrey, and Adam Sandler, something that is goofy and fun. I want to try romance. I have mostly been associated with dark characters, I would love to try a romantic character and explore the genre. 

Aashram 3 is all set to hit the OTT platform on 3rd June. It also stars Bobby Deol, Darshan Kumar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Tushar Pandey, Anupriya Goenka, Adhyayan Suman, Vikram Kochhar, and Tridha Choudhury, among others.
