MUMBAI:Tanya Maniktala is known for her performances in series like A Suitable Boy, Feels Like Ishq, Chutzpah and Tooth Pari. The actress was last seen in the film Mumbaikar, which started streaming on Jio Cinema a few days ago.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Tanya and spoke to her about Tooth Pari season 2, her upcoming projects and more...

While you have been doing well on OTT, we haven’t seen you in many Hindi films yet. So, are you not getting good offers or you are being choosy?

We shot for Mumbaikar in 2021. So, it’s been a long time waiting for its release. You will hear about a lot more things, as and when they release. But yes, I definitely was being choosy; I did not want to take up anything for the sake of doing it. I believe that I have to be truthful to all sorts of work that I take up, be it movies or series. I feel that the script has to really speak to me. So, I have been selective about what I choose to do.

Is Tooth Pari season 2 happening?

I actually have no idea as of now, but hopefully, I would hope so. Audience have been giving a very good response to the show. So, there definitely should be something. But right now, I really do not know about it.

Tell us something about your upcoming projects.

As of now, there are a few things, but nothing I can talk about. There’s a show for Amazon Prime Video called PI Meena. It is already announced. We do not have a release date, but it will stream sometime this year.
