MUMBAI: Nowadays, the digital world is making its place with a great speed. With lockdown all over the country, the only source of entertainment people left with is the digital platform, more and more content has been released on the platforms and are being consumed by the audiences.

Over the time we have seen so many web series and movies getting released on the digital platform and making a great impact on people, the audience has now shift their focus and need only good content which is worth their time, also there are times where we have seen content getting clashed with the Bollywood movies, we have seen few series and few Bollywood telling us similar or same story in their own way.

So here are a few web series and Bollywood movies based on same subject: 

M.O.M./Mission Mangal

Released on Alt Balaji in the year 2019 M.O.M. “Mission Over Mars”, dealt with the mars mission operation and the planning part of it, this series was loved by the audiences all over and also we have seen a movie was made on similar lines starring Akshay Kumar titled “Mission Mangal” and this movie too was loved and appreciated by the fans all over.

Avrodh/ URI the Surgical strike

Starring Vicky Kauahal, URI: The Surgical strike, was based on the operation against a group of militants who attacked a base in Uri, Kashmir, in 2016 and killed many soldiers and the movie was highly appreciated by the audiences all over and recently we have seen a web series on same topic titled Avrodh: The Siege Within on Sony Liv starring Amit Sadh, Darshan Kumaar and others and was a massive hit on OTT. 

The Verdict – State vs Nanavati/ Rustom

A crime thriller based on the Nanavati case was done first by Akshay Kumar with the movie Rustom in 2016 and was loved by the fans and the audiences and later in 2019 we see a web series based on same topic was made titled The Verdict – State vs Nanavati streaming on ALT Balaji, this web series too was loved by the audiences all over. 

Scam 1992- the Harshad Mehta Case/ The Big Bull

Story based on India’s biggest financial fraud committed by Harhsad Mehta in late 80s and early 90s was recently shown in web series Scam 1992- the Harshad Mehta Case which was premiered on Sony Liv and it is getting massive response from the fans all over, and also a movie based on same topic titled as: “The Big Bull” starring Abhishek Bachchan, is all set to release on OTT platform. 

Well these were the few projects which were made on the similar lines but they were best in their own making and details shown in them.
