Elevating the mood during these testing times, these shows have added to smiles all over the country and made a lasting impact on everyone’s mind. We list down the most popular shows that went on to become superhits during the lockdown.

Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 3 – Touted as the biggest web series in the OTT space to deal with relationships, ALTBalaji and ZEE5’s Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 3 was an eagerly-awaited show to say the very least. And no prize for guessing that the series has been lapped up by viewers across all age groups who just can’t stop raving about the splendid performances, gripping narrative and brilliant writing. With Ronit Roy, Gurdeep Kohli, and Mona Singh delivering yet another power-packed performance, it’s a show that makes you see modern-day relationships in a whole new light.

Aarya - This recently released Hotstar original is the talk of the town these days. The show has some splendid performances by the gorgeous Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen, Chandrachur Singh in pivotal roles. Playing the role of a housewife and doting mother, the story revolves around Aarya (Sushmita) who’s forced in the narcotics trade run by her family. While it may be a crime thriller from the surface, each episode makes you realize that’s there’s more than what meets the eye. Filled with twists and turns that you never saw coming, this is a show that you certainly do not want to miss.  

Pataal Lok – A strong contender for the best Indian web series of the year. That’s how good Paatal Lok is. This crime thriller by Amazon Prime Video was so intriguing that it made viewers question everything that they believed in. Playing the role of inspector Hathiram saw actor Jaideep Ahlawat become a household name. Add to that, the other two lead characters played by Neeraj Kabi and Abhishek Banerjee ensured that this fight between the good, bad, and ugly will see you hooked right from the first scene to the very last.

Lal Bazaar - This freshly launched ZEE5 original is based on a set of brave cops who deal with the dark underbelly of crime and bring some of the most sinister individuals to justice even if it is a big police office or a politician. The show kept the audiences hooked till the end due to its high voltage suspense drama. The show, based in Kolkata, has a set of amazing Bengali actors like Kaushik Sen, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Sauraseni Maitra to name a few.

Raktanchal- This web series is an MX Player original and a crime drama inspired by real-life events from the 1980s of Purvanchal, Uttar Pradesh, at the time when state development work used to be distributed through tenders. Another reason for the viewers to love the show was the star cast that featured eminent Bollywood and television actors like Nikitin Dheer, Kranti Prakash Jha, Beautiful Soundarya Sharma.
