The dark comedy features Konkona as Swathi, a housewife with dreams of opening her restaurant, willing to take unconventional measures to achieve her aspirations.

Konkona describes the experience of playing Swathi as "a lot of fun," emphasizing the character's larger goal of establishing her restaurant after navigating the challenges of domestic life and societal expectations. Swathi's relatability, according to Konkona, stems from the universal theme of women pursuing personal goals after fulfilling societal expectations, resonating with many women who aspire to reclaim agency later in life.

Addressing Swathi's morally ambiguous actions in the pursuit of her dreams, Konkona dismisses the simplistic categorization of characters into 'good' or 'bad.' She expresses her disinterest in portraying characters that are overly virtuous and earnest, finding such roles monotonous. Konkona suggests that the complexity and unpredictability of characters add depth to storytelling, keeping the audience engaged.

Reflecting on the benefits of long-form content like web series, Konkona acknowledges the opportunity it provides for deeper character exploration but emphasizes that quality writing remains crucial. While the format allows for extended character arcs, she stresses the importance of concise and impactful storytelling, emphasizing that good writing can convey depth without the need for excessive episodes.

Killer Soup, an eight-episode series, also features Manoj Bajpayee, Nasser, Anula Navlekar, Kani Kusruti, and Sayaji Shinde. The series, premiering on Netflix on January 11, promises a gripping narrative that navigates the complexities of Swathi's character and her unconventional journey towards realizing her dreams.
