MUMBAI: Director Apoorva Lakhia, who is well known for films such as Lagaan, Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost, and Shootout at Lokhandwala, is all set to launch a spy thriller series titled Raftaar on Voot.

Saqib Saleem has been roped in as the lead in the series. Saqib made his acting debut with a leading role in Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge, a box-office success. He was appreciated for his performance. He then appeared in Mere Dad Ki Maruti, a romantic comedy, and has featured in Bombay Talkies and Dishoom. He made his digital debut with Rangbaaz on ZEE5.

Shriya Pilgaonkar has also been roped in for the series. The actress made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Fan, which was produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. She has also been seen on the web in 13 Mussoorie and Mirzapur.

We have information that Iqbal Khan will join the project and will have an interesting role to portray. The actor made his TV debut as Angad Khanna in Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai. He has also featured in Kavyanjali, Kahiin To Hoga, and Karam Apnaa Apnaa.
