MUMBAI :Keshav Mehta is known for his performance in the TV show Appnapan. The young actor made his OTT debut with Amazon Mini TV’s Jab We Matched which started streaming on the platform a few days ago.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Keshav and spoke to him about how he planned to become an actor, if he wants to make his Bollywood debut and more...

You were a dentist, so how did acting happen?

I get this question a lot of times, but the thing is that I always wanted to be an actor. Ever since I was in school I was always a part of dramas; even in the dental college we used to conduct skits for awareness for patients and I used to be very enthusiastic about all that because I was getting to act. So, that actor in me was always there.

You would surely be having a dream to make your Bollywood debut. So, is that happening?

Yes obviously, it is on the top of my list to make my Bollywood debut and I am working towards cracking auditions, giving auditions; working towards the whole process like my craft and everything. So, yes fingers crossed, hopefully I will make my Bollywood debut soon.

Was TV your first choice to start your acting career?

When I started my acting journey, I really wanted to do a high-school drama because that’s my favourite genre. But, when I auditioned Appnapan, I really liked the character, I loved the script, and I am glad I did that. I learnt a lot through TV. I would still do TV depending on the script or the character.
