MUMBAI: Reality show titled Lock Upp launched with 17 contestants who are locked in jail, play the game, and fight for getting bail to survive. It streams on MX Player and ALTBalaji. The audience has given it a thumbs-up. Kangana Ranaut has made her OTT debut with the show as a host. She guides the contestants.

The show witnessed a shocking eviction. After Siddharth Sharma, Babita Phogat, the renowned wrestler who had joined the show with a lot of expectations and promises, has been eliminated from the Lock Upp jail.

Babita during her journey formed a strong bond with Payal Rohatgi and Swami Chakrapani Maharaj. She was one of the strongest during the tasks.

When Kangana took her name for elimination, she said that physical strength wise she managed to connect with the viewers but she lacked in the emotional and mental level.

Babita did not agree to it and said she invested in people and formed bonds with everyone in the Lock Upp jail. Karanvir and Babita were in bottom two and the latter got locked out of the show. She got quite emotional. She had left her one-year-old son to come inside the show.

The show has seen three eliminations before her: Godman Swami Chakrapani in the first week, political analyst Tehseen Poonawala in the second, and Siddharth Sharma in a surprise elimination.

Babita won the gold medal in 2014 Commonwealth Games. She also won silver medals at 2018 Commonwealth Games and 2010 Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the 2012 World Wrestling Championships.

Lock Upp is an engaging captive reality show with all the ingredients that will keep you glued to your seat.
