MUMBAI: Due to the covid outbreak and the subsequent lockdown, the only source of entertainment for the audience was OTT. Several web series and a few films premiered online and impressed all of us with the content and superb performances.

Many actors have been noticed on OTT for their talent. They got a chance to show their talent through OTT shows and became the talk of the town in a small span. They have become the favorites of many.

Read on to know the characters we loved this year on OTT.

1.     Jaidep Ahlawat – Pataal Lok

Pataal Lok, starring Jaideep, was one of the most loved shows in this year. The actor was loved for his immense talent, which we have never seen earlier also. His role of Hathi Ram Chaudhary got immense love from fans all over.

2.     Munna Bhaiya – Mirzapur

Although we have seen season 1 of the show back in 2018 and the character was loved then too, but season 2 released with some additional changes in the character of Munna Bhaiya, played by Divyendu Sharna. He was loved by fans all over and they saw different shades of Munna in the new season.

3.     Guddu Pandit – Mirzapur

Played by Ali Fazal, it was one of the most loved characters on OTT. Previously, Munna was working for Kaleen Bhaiya. In season 2, we have seen a lethal form of Guddu Bhaiya, who is seeking for revenge for his wife and brother. He was a treat to watch and was loved by fans all over. 

4.     Pratik Gandhi – Scam 1992 – The Harshad Mehta Story

The highest rated shows of 2020, with a score of 9.6 in IMDB, Scam 1992 – The Harshad Mehta Story, was loved by the audience. The acting by the leads, especially Pratik Gandhi in the role of Harshad Mehta, was highly appreciated by fans all over. We see many memes and posts with regard to this show.

5.     Priyanshu Painyuli – Mirzapur S2

Mirzapur Season 2 was loved for not only its old cast but also for its new additons. Newlt added member Priyanshu Painyuli was seen playing the role of Robin, the love interest of Dimpy Pandit. The actor was also seen in the movie Extraction this year and was loved in it too. There is no doubt that the actor defined versatility in both of his projects and garnered lot of love from fans all over. 

Well, these were a few characters that created a superb impression in the minds and hearts of the audience with their immense talent and skills.
