MUMBAI: Actor Sudhanshu Pandey, who is winning hearts with his calm, composed, and dignified gameplay on "The Traitors", recently addressed an uncomfortable controversy during an Instagram Live session. Fans who joined the live chat asked him to react to comedian Harsh Gujral’s loose statement about him and co-contestant Elnaaz Norouzi on the show.
The comment, where Harsh Gujral casually remarked that "Sudhanshu Pandey needs to be controlled" and claimed he was "going gaga over Elnaaz", didn’t sit well with many viewers. Fans called the comment “cheap,” “disrespectful,” and “completely uncalled for.”
Responding to this in the most graceful and gentlemanly way, Sudhanshu Pandey shared that he was genuinely hurt by the remarks and that the moment was deeply embarrassing for him and his family.
"I was sitting with my family, watching the show together. It turned into an extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing moment for all of us, even the kids froze hearing something like that about their father. I was genuinely gutted to hear such a remark coming from someone like Harsh Gujral. You cannot just say whatever comes to your mind in the name of humour. It’s about basic respect and manners. Everything cannot and should not be passed off as a joke! People like Harsh Gujral, hailing from the comedy niche, should think 100 times before passing such loose statements about anybody, especially a senior actor!"
Sudhanshu’s dignified response struck a chord with his fans, who rallied around him on social media, praising his class, patience, and composure.
Sudhanshu Pandey has been widely appreciated on "The Traitors" for the way he has played the game, with honesty, strategy, and an undeniable gentleman spirit. Unlike many others, he has stayed away from cheap tactics, mudslinging, or dirty controversies. Instead, he is setting an example of how to play with integrity and power.
Many fans have now started calling him "the real gentleman of the game," a player who lets his calm strategy do the talking, without indulging in unnecessary noise.
It’s clear that while cheap comments may come and go, Sudhanshu Pandey’s grace, silent power, and clean gameplay are what will stay with the audience long after the season ends!
