Toofaan Review: Farhan Akhtar shines in this sports drama

Toofaan finally premieres on Amazon Prime and here is the full review of the movie

MUMBAI: Toofaan starring Farhan Akhtar has finally hit the digital platforms. We got to see this amazing collaboration of Rakesh Omprakash Mehra and Farhan Akhtar after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Movie Toofaan release on Amazon Prime, due to the ongoing pandemic situation and lockdown like restrictions. This sports drama also stars Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Hussain Dalal. 

Talking about the story of the movie, this motivational story is about Ajju (Aziz Ali) who is a local goon, and how he discovered his talent of boxing, and tries to make it big in this sport. In this journey of discovering his talent and becoming boxer Aziz Ali, the contribution of his lady love, his friend, and his coach, plays an important role. And this amazing transformation of Ajju Bhai to the boxer Aziz Ali is beautifully shown in the movie.

The screenplay of the movie is decent and it manages to hold your attention till the last scene. Direction given by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra is amazing; the scenes are designed beautifully to portray the message. 

Talking about the performances this movie completely belongs to Farhan Akhtar, the hard work and dedication of the actor can be clearly seen in the movie. On the other hand Paresh Rawal as the coach Rana Prabhu, is seen in a completely different avatar and will surely win your heart. Actress Mrunal Thakur as Ananya will surely win your heart with her presence in the movie 

Talking about the positive points of the movie, as mentioned the performances given by every actor is brilliant specially Farhan Akhtar, the storytelling of the movie is amazing and it manages to hold your attention from the first scene till the last seen. Also the comical situation in between will surely make you smile. 

Talking about the negative points of the movie, there is no freshness in the plot. We have seen similar stories like this. The screenplay of the movie dips a little in between which may drop your interest in between. 

But having said all these negative points, the movie Toofaan will surely win your heart and it’s completely worth your time.
