MUMBAI: ALTBalaji and ZEE5's upcoming dramedy , Who's Your Daddy is already becoming the talk of the town due to its hilarious storyline and interesting star cast. The drama features an amazing cast that includes the evergreen villain of Bollywood Rahul Dev, the handsome and famous YouTuber Harsh Beniwal and young actor Nikhil Bhambri who never fails to charm audiences with his chocolate boy looks. Samarth Shandilya will be seen in a negative shade in the project and will have a pivotal character to portray.

Samarth plays the role of Pissu in the web-series and his look is  inspired by Shahrukh Khan’s look in Bollywood movie Raees. We had a quick chat with Samarth on the same and we got some interesting responses. Read on.

 Your thoughts when you first did the look test 

The first time I did the look test, I was loving the process. I did some 30+ changes, which may sound easy when I am saying it, but it was like a tiring workout. From the vanity to the set, there was a good walking distance and in between those changes, coming back and forth; I developed my character Pissu . The walk, the tone, the gestures; that is why I love look tests. One builds the character there n then. 

The project looks like you had to play 2 different generations. Were u sceptical?

Not at all, because I have had a meeting with Chirag Sir, the director of the show and the writer, Jatin Dua.  They were very well synchronised and crystal clear in what they were doing and what they wanted.

Your look in the project is similar to that of Shahrukh Khan in Raees. Your take on it.

 This always happens, whatever I do ... unknowingly the king Khan is around me. It's a blessing in disguise, I think.
