Now, many are unaware about the fact that the character of Piyush was offered to another TV star before Meherzan was roped in.

Yes, initially the makers wanted television actor Jay Soni to play the lead role. But owing work commitments, Jay could not come on-board. Sandiip recently mentioned that post the show went on-air they felt Meherzan was the perfect choice.
