MUMBAI: Before trying his hand at acting, Ronit Roy studied hotel management. He even washed dishes and waited tables.

Ronit resided with ace filmmaker Subhash Ghai during his initial days in Mumbai. But seeing his struggle in acting, the director told him to continue his studies in management.

Ronit rose to fame with his performance as Mr. Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, but did you know that he was initially offered only an 8-minute cameo in the serial? After seeing his excellent performance, producer Ekta Kapoor offered him a permanent role in the series.

Ronit is not only a successful actor but also a successful businessman. He owns a security consultancy called Ace Security and Protection Agency, which caters to well-known celebrities such as Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, and Aamir Khan.

Before he became an actor, Ronit also worked as an ad filmmaker and excelled in editing. This landed him his first role as an actor.

Ronit’s best performance to date has been in the movie Udaan. He won a lot of praise for his role in it and bagged the Filmfare Award for the Best Supporting Actor. He played a negative character in the film, which highlighted his complete range of skills as an actor.
