MUMBAI : In August 2023, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani revealed Don 3, starring Ranveer Singh. Kiara Advani joined the project earlier in February 2024, taking on the role of the movie's heroine. As of right now, the movie is scheduled to begin filming in February 2025.

The film's director, Farhan, is now on an exploration tour in the UK, where he will be examining London's locations.

Farhan Akhtar intends to complete his forthcoming project as an actor before undertaking Don 3. The actor-director is presently in the UK for the Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani movie's recce.

He will begin filming his role in the movie as an actor, and for Don 3, he will take on the role of director after his return.

The much awaited third entry in the beloved Don franchise is called Don 3. Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan starred in the franchise's first installment, which debuted in 2006. A sequel called Don 2 was released in 2011. Ranveer Singh will be the franchise's protagonist in Don 3 and will be joined by Kiara Advani in the role of the female lead, formerly portrayed by PC.

Interestingly, Don (2006) was a modern-age remake of Amitabh Bachchan's 1978 film Don which was written by Farhan Akhtar's father and veteran writer Javed Akhtar along with Salim Khan.

The pre-production of Don 3 also started earlier in 2024 if we go by the pictures shared by the production designer of the film. He took to Instagram and shared a glimpse of what appears to be an intriguing set design for the movie. The caption read, "Aa raha hai woh. Ranveer Singh will be next seen in Singham Again which is the 3rd part of Ajay Devgn-led Singham franchise and 5th part of Rohit Shetty's cop universe. Apart from Ajay and Ranveer, the film will also have Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor.

Ranveer will be seen in Don 3 following Singham Again. The actor will also be working with filmmaker Prasanth Varma on HanuMan. Rakshas is his upcoming movie, according to an update from a well-known news source. Along with URI director Aditya Dhar, he is doing the film, which is currently in pre-production.

Kiara Advani is set to make her debut in the Telugu cinema industry with the political action thriller Game Changer alongside Ram Charan. S. Shankar is the director of the movie.

She is also about to make her debut in the world of YRF spy universe with the much-awaited action-packed drama War 2. She will appear on screen alongside Junior NTR and Hrithik Roshan in the movie.
