MUMBAI : On the occasion of International Dance Day, renowned choreographer Kruti Mahesh opens up about her journey and the iconic dance numbers she's brought to life. From party anthems to traditional celebrations, her choreography has left an indelible mark on the world of dance.

While many have danced to the beats of blockbuster hits like 'Garmi,' 'Baaharla Ha Madhumaas,' 'Dholida,' and 'Ghoomar,' Kruti Mahesh reflects on the global sensation  'Naatu-Naatu.' Despite its immense popularity, she candidly admits, "I like and appreciate so many choreographies, like Nattu Nattu was brilliant, prem has done a mindblowing job. Of Course the movie was great but I watched it to see that song and its choreography. It's just phenomenal. He should have been acknowledged at the Oscars. Along with the song the choreography is what made everyone remember that song. A huge shoutout to Prem Rakshit. I really feel every team should get their due credit. Choreography definitely plays an important role in helping people connect with songs."

"Reflecting on my time in a reality show, it was a period when such platforms were rare, offering me greater visibility and prominence. The show's flexible format allowed me to broaden my horizons beyond dance skills," shares Kruti Mahesh. Now it's not the only platform, right now there are many platforms especially social media has become a much bigger platform but reality has its own space and still gives many people the opportunity"
Many times I have seen some songs even from the golden era that are visually so appealing but the choreographer's name isn't not mentioned, though it's an audio visual medium.

Excitingly, her upcoming projects include the highly anticipated "Heeramandi" by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, already garnering praise for its majestic allure, set to release this week.
