MUMBAI: Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta are all set to make a sequel to Border and fans are eagerly waiting for the films to release on the big screens. Well, Border is a blockbuster film which was released in 1997. Makers have roped in Sunny Deol and Ayushmann Khurrana to play lead roles in the Border 2 film which will be produced by Nidhi Dutta and Bhushan Kumar.

Adding to the excitement, there are some new developments about Border 2 and the team is going to start shooting for the film in October later this year. Yes, you read that right! As per a source, the team of Border 2 has been working tirelessly to prepare everything and it's been a long time in making as they wanted to do justice to the magnitude of the first film.

As the preparations of Border 2 are almost done, the team will be soon start their shooting. As per reports, Sunny will play the role of Major Kuldip Singh Chanduri in Border 2. Ayushmann will play a strong author-backed part in the Indian Armed Forces. As per a report in Pinkvilla, producers Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta are all set to release Border 2 on Republic Day 2026. The film will release on Friday, January 23, 2026, which is Monday. Well, the makers will celebrate the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces and want to release the film for Republic Day.
