Pooja Mittal feels television can add culture to 'fashion'

MUMBAI: India is a diverse country. Each place in India follows its own unique culture. But with time, people are colouring themselves with modernization, which is good, but our culture is also our responsibility. And to enjoy equal balance between the two, only television can help. It is seen that outfits seen on television soon become fashion trends. People like wearing what they see on actors and actresses on television, Pooja Mittal said during an event

'Every third person with access to a television wants to hop on the bandwagon of what has, in recent times, become an ongoing trend. Nowadays, on whichever social media you choose to scroll, there will definitely be folks who display aesthetically pleasing pictures of lotion and foundation bottles, lipsticks swatches on their hands, and, of course, carefully careless snaps in which they are “casually” dressed,' she added.

She continues, 'If you ask them if they want to be fashionable, they’ll probably say, “Not really! I do it for fun and there’s no proper career in the fashion industry!” But if you want the truth, their over-descriptive photo captions let the cat out of the bag. From crediting brands to locations, there’ll be a mention of every aspect of the picture that could possibly be monetized, clearly screaming “Main bhi fashion model banna chahti hoon!" (I'm keen to be fashion model).'

We wish her all the best!
