Recently, an incident took place on the Angeles Forest Highway in Angeles National Forest in California, USA, where a car spun out of control and fell off the side of a mountain, dropping to around 300 feet into a canyon. One person who was present in the car owned an iPhone 14, which detected the crash and immediately sent the information to authorities and rescuers using the Emergency SOS via satellite feature as it had lost its cellular signal.

As per reports, the Emergency SOS text message was sent to an Apple relay centre, and an employee of the centre contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for assistance.
