While we swear by the tried-and-tested onscreen pairs of Bollywood, there’s no denying that a fresh jodi has its own appeal.

From setting the screen ablaze with their charm and upping the curiosity quotient with their maiden ventures, these jodis sure know how to pull us to the theatres. 2016 seems to be the year of such pairs…we list out our favourites we are absolutely excited to watch!

Salman Khan-Anushka Sharma in Sultan:

Everybody is excited for Bhai’s Sultan because it’ll be bigger, better and more badass than his previous outings. What’s adding to the anticipation is the addition of Anushka Sharma to the cast. The actress, who debuted opposite SRK, is all set to share screen space with his arch rival-turned-friend Sallu in this action flick. We hope that Anushka has a chunk of role to play and not look just pretty in the movie.

Shah Rukh Khan-Mahira Khan in Raees:

Pakistani actress Mahira could very well go the Anushka, Deepika way to stardom, thanks to her debut opposite SRK in Raees. The pretty actress has a lot of hype to live up to too. Will she? Won’t she?

Aditya Roy Kapoor-Katrina Kaif in Fitoor:

Their romantic slow dancing in ‘Pashemeena’ is already making us drool. So you can imagine how excited we are for this Valentine’s Week release. The two make a rather striking pair- tall, sensual and stunning. Their chiselled bodies and gorgeous faces are just few of the reasons for us to flock to the cinema halls.

Arjun Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor in Ki & Ka:

This is another unusual jodi we can’t wait to watch on the big screen. The Kapoors look totally adorable together and the plot looks worth the efforts too. Even though Bebo has been paired with younger actors before, it’s the first time she would be playing a conventional lover in an unconventional setting. Trust R Balki to throw us such cool jodis…

Aamir Khan-Sakshi Tanwar in Dangal:

We know that Sakshi is not the focus here, her reel daughters and hubby are, but we are still stoked to see Aamir and Sakshi as a couple on the big screen. We have already seen the ideal bahu on our telly screens, we just want to see how she matches up to Mr Perfectionist Khan.

Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt in untitled flick:

If reports are to be believed, the RanKat split happened due to a certain Ms Bhatt’s involvement. Well, we don’t the facts but we do know that RK and AB make a super cute/hot jodi. They will be soon together in Ayan Mukerji’s untitled next. Since Alia is a self-confessed RK fan, her fan girling will take the flick to another level. No?

Hrtihik Roshan-Pooje Hegde in Mohenjodaro:

There’s already considerable curiosity in Mohenjodaro, but we are digging the fresh combination of Hrithik and newbie Pooja Hegde. The former beauty pageant-winner and resident Greek God will smash all records at the BO. For sure.
