MUMBAI: Dhoom has been one of the most successful franchises of Bollywood. Dhoom 1 and 2 were massive hits at the box office. Dhoom 3 starring Aamir Khan was a blockbuster.

While news reports have been saying that Akshay Kumar along with Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh has been approached to play the lead in Dhoom 4, an industry source now confirms that Khiladi Kumar has been finalised for the role.

John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan played the antagonists in the first three films in the Dhoom franchise.

As per sources, Akshay has won the race to become the next 'bad man' in Dhoom 4. He took to Twitter to inform fans.

This is not the first time that the actor's name has surfaced as the lead contender for the role. Earlier, in October last year, a news publication confirmed that the actor is very much a part of Dhoom 4.

But later, Yash Raj Films, in a statement, rubbished the reports and said that no such developments have taken place.
