MUMBAI:  Janhvi Kapoor and Sunny Kaushal starrer Mili was released on 4th November 2022. The film received mixed reviews, and unfortunately it has not done a great business at the box office. However, Janhvi’s performance in it is being appreciated a lot.

Actor Maanav Matalia played a pivotal role in the film. He was seen as Sunny Kaushal’s friend in Mili. TellyChakkar recently spoke to him about the movie, his experience of working with Sunny and Janhvi, and more…

What response are you getting for your performance in Mili?

“The response has been overwhelming. I am playing the role of Sunny’s friend, and the way he and Janhvi have performed, even we are getting noticed.”

How was your experience of working with Sunny Kaushal and Janhvi Kapoor?

“It was wonderful. I have shared a lot of screen space with Sunny and he is a phenomenal person. I became a fan of him after watching Shiddat, so it was like, from being a fan to a friend for me. Janhvi is also very sweet and kind. She never behaved on the sets that she is the producer (Mili is produced by Janhvi’s father Boney Kapoor). We never got the feeling that she is a big star kid."

Mili is a remake of Helen, so you had watched the original Malayalam film before signing the Hindi remake?

“I had not seen Helen before. But, my casting director told me to watch the film and I watched it before the audition to get the knack of what the film is about.”
