MUMBAI: During the pandemic, Geeta Basra couldn’t visit the UK to meet her family, and neither could they come down to India. Every time either would plan a visit, a new wave would put all plans on hold. The actress was then in Jalandhar and moved back to Mumbai a few days ago.

Geeta along with Harbhajan wanted to spend Diwali and Lohri at their family house in Punjab as this was their son Jovan’s first festivities. Unfortunately, during this time Geeta contracted Covid and was on bed rest which dampened the fun and frolic just a bit.

Finally, things are returning to normal. She was in for a pleasant surprise when her mother told her she would finally be able to come down to Mumbai after two years along with her sister.

Commenting on the same, a delighted Geeta says, “It’s a mini family reunion for us and we have so much to catch up on. We have been up till the wee hours of the morning just chatting and laughing our guts out. This is such a welcome time after the last two years which have been challenging for all of us. I hope that with things finally opening up now, everyone can meet their loved ones soon.”
