MUMBAI: Netflix and Vishal Bhardwaj are collaborating for Khufiya, a spy movie based on Amar Bhushan's novel Escape to Nowhere. Khufiya is a story about an R&AW operative who is tasked with tracking down a mole who is selling India’s defence secrets. The film starters Ali Fazal, Tabu, Ashish Vidhyarthi and Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles.

While talking to the portal, Vishal Bhardwaj reveals this about the film, " Khufiya is an espionage film written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The film highlights the slow burn of intelligence and the deep-rooted emotional conflicts in an individual."

On collaborating with Netflix and Vishal Bhardwaj yet again Tabu shared her excitement about the film, " Khufiya is a one of a kind project, extremely close to my heart, and I am excited to be a part of this gripping spy thriller. As always, it's a delight working with VB (Vishal Bhardwaj) again, and feels like a homecoming!”

We have seen Tabu in numerous films that were directed by Vishal Bhardwaj like Maqbool (2003), Haider (2014), and Talwar (2015), she will also be seen in his son Aasman Bharadwaj's directorial debut Kuttey soon. 

Netflix India's Director of Films and Licensing, Pratiksha Rao, said that they are excited to partner with Khufiya's director, Vishal Bhardwaj, for their upcoming project.
