MUMBAI: The trailer of Siddhant Chaturvedi starrer Dhadak 2 has finally dropped. Taking on the role of Neelesh, a small-town boy, Siddhant delivers a power-packed and emotionally charged performance as seen in the trailer. His commanding presence and the depth he brings to the character have already created a stir, with everyone praising his intense transformation.
For Siddhant, who originally hails from the town of Ballia, Dhadak 2 marks a pivotal shift in his career. Having previously played mostly urban characters, this is the first time he’s venturing into the world of small-town India on screen — a move that aligns closely with his roots.
Speaking at the trailer launch, Siddhant reflected on this meaningful step in his journey:
"As an actor, I feel truly fortunate that Karan sir showed faith in me and chose me to portray a small-town character. Until now, most of the films I’ve done have been urban-centric, and since I come from a small town, Ballia and I was missing that kind of small town story. I still remember when Karan sir called me and said, ‘There’s a story you should hear.’ Our director Shazia, was also present during the narration. The moment I heard it, I instantly said yes. I didn’t know how I was going to play the part because it’s quite an intense character — and like always, by default, I ended up choosing another intense role."
Siddhant’s cinematic journey has consistently been about defying expectations. From his breakout turn as MC Sher in Gully Boy to the emotionally complex characters in Gehraiyaan and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, he has curated a career that thrives on risk-taking and depth. Dhadak 2 seems poised to continue that trajectory, offering another standout performance from the actor.
