I love hard-hitting roles - Aditi Sharma

The release of Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami is just around the corner and that is keeping lead actress Aditi Sharma both nervous and excited. Aditi who plays the love interest of Divyendu Sharma in this socio-political satire is kicked about her role which she feels is quite crucial. Says Aditi, "Although this is the story of two brothers and their fight to get their father a 21-gun salute honour, I too have a crucial role to play. My character Tania is a journalist and she motivates the brothers and prepares the plan that will help them fulfill their deceased father's last wish that of getting a 21 gun salute." Though the movie professes to send out a message without being preachy, there are also moments where romance between Aditi and Divyendu will take center stage. Explains Aditi, "Our director (Ravindra Gautam) wanted to showcase the romance between me and Divyendu. Though the film primarily deals with the brothers’ journey, our romantic angle too will be loved by the audience.” While Aditi chooses her scripts wisely and have been part of different movies till date, her dream role is to essay a strong hard hitting women centric character. "I loved Tabu in Chandni Bar and Kajol in Dushman. I like strong hard-hitting roles which are performance oriented. Although I am not averse to doing glamour oriented roles, women-centric movies and strong characters excite me more.” Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami will open in cinema screens across India on 10 October and is produced by Nautanki Films.
