India’s champion boxer, Mary Kom released her autobiography ‘Unbreakable’ in the august presence of the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, at a jam packed mall in Mumbai, yesterday. The diminutive Mary even donned her boxing gloves and indulged in a mock-boxing duel with the Shahenshah of Bollywood which made the entire crowd go delirious inside the mall. Mary’s autobiography ‘Unbreakable’ explores the life of Mary in entirety – from her tough childhood and rebellions to her wanting to run away with her husband – the book will give you an inside view of Mary’s life which has never been revealed. And for cinephiles, who can’t really digest the idea of reading a book, fret not. There is also a biopic being made on Mary’s life with Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra essaying the lead role. We, on our part, were eager to know if Mary would want superstar Amitabh Bachchan too, to make a special appearance in her biopic. When asked about the same, a shy Mary said, “See it is not just in my hands. It is also for my management, producer and director to take a call. And we all will sit and decide what I want and what I don’t. So if all goes well, I will once again see and request Amitabh Sir to may be, make an appearance in the movie.” Apart from Amitabh, Mary also expressed her desire at having one more superstar in her biopic and that was none other than current King of Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan. When asked if she would like to have Shah Rukh too, in her movie, Mary blushed considerably before replying, “Yes. Why not? But for that his schedule needs to be free. It is only if we talk to him personally, something can happen.” Mary also revealed that she is a big fan of SRK’s romantic movies. There you go SRK! You have managed to win over India’s iron lady as well with your dimpled charms.
